Recently, a one hour special by our friends TEDxPortland aired on local Portland television. It was entitled "History & Hope" and featured past TEDxPortland speakers who reflected on issues like racism in the community and the impact of COVID-19.

As a 100-year-old company we have a lot of history. And it just so happens we have a lot of recent history with TEDxPortland! Benjamin Dehen-Artaiz was a speaker in 2017 (you can listen to his talk "Resurrecting the American Dream" here). In 2018 & 2019 we partnered with TEDxPortland, creating custom sweaters for speakers and alumni based on our iconic Varsity Cardigan. The three stripes symbolize TED: Technology, Entertainment and Design.

This custom sweater is also featured in an extended promotion entitled "ALL IN THE FAMILY" that airs during the presentation (at the 28:46 mark). The commercial debut features the sweater during the various stages of production as well as several employees at our Portland, ORE headquarters!  There is a lot to unpack here!
